MISSION - BMY Films offers high end quality services in film production, post-production, distribution and customised transport service.
Production: The production office will be situated in the same building as the post facility and distribution office. The production office’s objective is to make one to two feature films per year by applying for funds from NFVF, DTI, ECPACC, IDC, etc. Filmmakers can upload their films on our production app, Layisha, for review and distribution. These are made-for-tv films with a budget between R400 to R750 000 and low budget features from R750 000 to R3 000 000. The company charges a percentage of the production fee to generate revenue.
Post - Production: Picture editing, grading, finishing and mastering. Sound editing and engineering. We also offer production music from our music library which can be downloaded from our ProKantu app. We also offer music scoring that is tailor-made for each project. For each film we aim to charge between R100 000 to R500 000 for post-production services, including our own projects to generate a monthly revenue of at least R9 000 to R40 000 per month.
Distribution: BMY Films distributes its content through our Prent app. We also help indie filmmakers distribute their complete projects through the app. Distribution is our cash cow and therefore we need to market it properly to generate monthly revenue. W e are looking at 50 000 viewers for the first year, 100 000 to 200 000 in the second to third year and 500 000 to a million in the first five years. We plan to give incentives to our staff for each milestone reached. Our monthly subscription if R50 or a bulk amount of R600 per annum.
Transport: BMY films offers private transport service tailor -made for touring individuals, couples or families. We offer weekly, 2 weeks,3 weeks, and monthly packages for touring individuals, couples or families that want to explore the eastern, northern and western cape. We offer a homely and customi sed transport experience from a proudly South African company which is familiar with the nuances of local dialects. Daily packages negotiable.
